ITEC Onsite
Under ITEC Onsite modality, customized capacity building programmes are provided to our partner countries by deputing Indian trainers and subject matter experts for a short duration. Apart from training, ITEC-Onsite also enables rendering of technical assistance. Request for ITEC-Onsite support are received at the respective Indian Missions.
The first ITEC-Onsite assignment was executed in 2018-19 when a team of experts was sent to Sierra Leone for Cyber Crime training. Other examples of ITEC-Onsite training include:
• National Tiger Conservation Authority experts sent in March 2022 to Cambodia for possible tiger-reinduction; and
• Experts from Ministry of Mines were sent to El Salvador in October 2022 to assist in reclamation assessment of abandoned mines.
• Training modules by PowerGrid India for Fiji Power Corporation conducted in November 2023, and Feb/March 2024.
• Visit-cum-training of IGNCA experts to Wat Pa Khae Temple in Luang Prabang in November 2025 for assessment of damaged murals.
• Visit of National Sugar Institute team to Fiji in April 2026 for assessment and training of Fiji Sugar Corporation facilities/employees.
