Quad Infrastructure Fellowships
India is committed to providing 500 training opportunities over 2023-2027 for in-person training of government professionals of Indo-Pacific countries on infrastructure-related courses over 2023-2027. These opportunities are provided under the programme of Quad Infrastructure Fellowship (QIF) administered by MEA. The training opportunities are provided at eminent Indian institutes.
The first call for fellowship opportunities under QIF provided training opportunities at institutions like IIT Roorkee and IIM Indore. A total of 106 scholarships from 17 Indo-Pacific countries were utilised as part of this call. In addition to these courses, ITEC also funded Workshop-based fellowships through the CDRI along the sidelines of the International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI) in June 2024.
During the second and third cycles, the premier university of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) was also included. A total of 124 slots were utilised in the second call and 85 in the third call. Currently the fourth call is being finalised, with courses on " Multimodal logistics"; " Infrastructure and PPP"; "Urban mobility" and "Leadership in Supply Chain management" to be included under this call.
