eITEC Online Trainings

The eITEC scheme launched after the comprehensive review of the ITEC programme was successfully scaled up since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020. MEA continued its programme of capacity building by making an agile shift to digital technology and rolled out online training programs on a large scale and at short notice, to continue engaging with our partner countries. A unique feature of the eITEC scheme has been the ability to deliver capacity building courses in innovative areas unique to India; for example, one of the most successful eITEC courses have been trainings on Vipassana meditation to promote holistic wellbeing, especially during the pandemic.

84 eITEC courses were conducted in FY 2020 - 2021 and 149 courses were conducted in FY 2021- 2022. Out of these courses, 91 (for the period 2020-22) were customized eITEC courses, which trained more than 1750 officials from 32 countries. Responding to the global demand for capacity building in subjects related to public health, epidemiology and covid management, as many as 25 courses were conducted on these subjects during 2020-2022.

In the current training year, 145 eITEC courses are being offered of which 72 courses have already been completed /ongoing. More than 2761 participants from 84 countries have availed these online trainings till date. One of the highlights of eITEC programmes conducted in 2022 was the massive online training on English Language Proficiency for nearly 970 English teachers of Uzbekistan which was conducted by EFLU, Hyderabad.
